Stylist Live 14-15 October 2016

Hello you!

This is my SECOND blog post of the week. I know right? I used to blog a lot back in the day, on a blogger platform (which is probably still live!) but then it sort of, fizzled out. Not that I didn't like to write my blog - it was just that I (felt) I didn't have the time to. Which is nonsense, because you and I know that there's simply not enough hours in the day EVER. So it is a case of prioritising takes to do.

So with this new website platform (which can do funky things like the images below - nice huh?) I thought I'd make more of an effort to keep you posted on everything Papercuts. Expect posts on new window displays, new commissions, workshops and the DOG UNDER MY DESK. Perhaps some random shenanigins between me and the girls in the cafe next door who spell out rude words in aphabetti spagetti just for me. I always say they should add it their menu as Touretti Spagetti. HA!

I spent last Friday and Saturday up in London at the Business Design Centre, Islingon hosting papercutting workshops at the wonderful Stylist Live event after being invited by I was one of numerous notonthehighstreet partners who were hosting hour-long workshops. And I was in good company with the likes of The Make Arcade crafting a felt cactus, The Lovely Draw doing brush lettering, Posh Totty Designs creating a hanging macrame planter (macrame is back!), The Experimental Perfume Club creating a signature scent, The Indytute making amazing raw chocolate, Stitch and Story making pom pom slippers (I LOVE A POM POM!) the Bluebird Tea Company giving a tea mixology masterclass, Pup Tart Handmade painting clutch bags and Geo-Fleur making a beautiful Kokedama garden.

Good eh?

I honestly wish I could have signed up for all of them myself.

Anyway - enough chatter, take a look at the pics. I was posting live from the workshop on my instagram (@kyleighspapercuts) and facebook page (/kyleighspapercuts), so be sure to check them out for more pics and videos.

There's also pics of a tiny selection of the gorgeous products on the main notonthehighstreet stand - christmas is a-coming folks!

PS. If you can spot yourself in these pics - let me know and I'll post you another template to keep you going! If you're completely hooked and want a day's peaceful papercutting be sure to check out my Day Long Beginners Papercut Workshop or my Personalised Family Tree Workshop - next date Saturday 5th November.
