Christmas Cracker Workshop 7th Dec 7-9pm

Christmas cracker workshops are here! Come and spend a fun and festive few hours drinking mulled wine and munching on mince pies while learning the basics of papercutting before delicately cutting out your own pre-chosen design and decorating 6 crackers to match your festive decor.

There is a choice of cutting monograms of your choice making the crackers double up as place settings, or you can cut beautiful snowflakes, all with a choice of colour backing. Everything is included to create your eco-friendly crackers including Divine fairtrade dark or milk chocolate miniature.  The crackers are completely sustainable as ALL the waste can go in the recycling bin – paper hat, paper joke, kraft cardboard cracker and snap, even the sellotape is eco-friendly. You’ll be saving the planet AND having festive fun!

6 crackers are included in the price, add more at £1.50 per cracker. I can’t wait to welcome you!

What to expect at your Christmas cracker workshop

My Christmas cracker workshops are held at my riverside studio and shop in the heart of Wimborne in Dorset. Your Christmas cracker workshop will start at with a warm welcome and a delightful tipple of warming mulled wine (non-alcoholic version available too) after which you’ll be introduced to the two scalpels you’ll be using and we’ll work through a quick practise sheet to get you acquainted with your scalpels.

After which we’ll spend the rest of the workshop happily chatting while cutting your 6 monograms or snowflakes, coloured backing shapes and the decorations for the ends – choice of zig zag, rick rack or lines. You’ll be munching on mince pies and mini stollen bites and supping mulled wine – you won’t want to leave!

I need more than 6 crackers, can I make more?

You can order various amounts of crackers using the dropdown above when booking your workshop space. This allows me to make sure I have enough in stock for all my workshoppers. You might be able to buy extra crackers at the end of your workshop depending on stock levels. Please let me know.

Can I make my crackers to match my table decor?

Sure thing! All the crackers are kraft brown but you have a choice of a huge amount of coloured paper I have in my studio in which to adorn your crackers. You can choose to cut 6 monogram letters which can also be used as place settings. The monograms are cut from white paper, but you will then choose a colour or different colours for it to be mounted on, as well as different colours for the ends of the crackers. If monograms aren’t your thing then you can cut x6 beautiful snowflakes, again with a different colour backing. There is a choice of different end designs – zig zag, wavy rick rack or straight lines. So really it is up to you and the colour choices you make on the night.

Can I change my mind on my letters?

Absolutely! When you book you will choose whether to cut snowflakes or letters. After booking you’ll immediately get an automated email. Then when I process your order you’ll get a confirmation email from me with  info on where to park etc. Just reply to that with any letter changes or anything.

How do I choose my colours?

You can choose at the workshop which colours you’d like to use. There will be plenty of time to decide as you’re cutting the monograms or snowflakes.

Can I come on my own?

Absolutely! I will keep the conversation flowing and make sure you’re not alone even if don’t know anyone else. We arrive as strangers and leave as friends. Let me know if you are anxious and I’ll make sure to seat you next to me so you’re not alone.

Covid secure papercut workshops are my priority

Maintaining a socially distanced workshop space and and keeping you feeling safe, secure and happy is my priority right now. [read about how I’m keeping you safe here]. My table sits 12, but I’m restricting workshops to 8 of you and 1 of me so there’s not overcrowding. The scalpels and cutting mats will be sanitised and ready for your sole use –  if you want to buy a brand new cutting mat (£5) and scalpel set (£7) which you can use during the workshop just let me know when you get here (cards and cash accepted)

I’d love to book out a whole workshop for a party – can I do this?

Yes of course! You are more than welcome to block book all the spaces on here, or alternatively if you have a date in mind for a special occasion (milestone birthday or hen party) then please get in touch with me to discuss. I can fit 12 around my table, but I can also travel to your hen party or a venue. Let’s talk!
