Lockdown Window Rainbow 2021 PDF download

£4.00

Get ready to be the envy of your street! My papercut window rainbow project is a super fun craft for young and old alike to relax and ease your soul during these trying times, with the added benefit of raising the spirits of those walking by who spot this in your window. 50% of every sale goes directly to The Trussell Trust in helping them to support a nationwide network of food banks providing emergency food and support to people locked in poverty.

I designed this window rainbow for January 2021 lockdown following the popularity of my first window rainbow which adorned windows up and down the country for the first lockdown in April 2020 (as if you need reminding of that!)

This time around I wanted it to do some good (as well as helping my small business to pay rent on my closed shop) so I’m SUPER proud to say that £2 from the sale of every template one goes direct to The Trussell Trust in helping them to support a nationwide network of food banks providing emergency food and support to people locked in poverty. A worthy cause I’m sure you’ll agree.

Who are The Trussell Trust and how will my donation get to them?

In the UK, more than 14 million people are living in poverty – including 4.5 million children. The Trussell Trust support more than 1,200 food bank centres in the UK to provide a minimum of three days’ nutritionally-balanced emergency food to people who have been referred in crisis, as well as support to help people resolve the crises they face. Between April 2019 and March 2020, The Trussell Trust food banks provided a record 1.9 million food supplies to people in crisis, an 18% increase on the previous year and during the coronavirus pandemic food banks have seen need rise even further.

I am officially partnered with them for this project and for every window rainbow template sold, 50% will go directly to The Trussell Trust. Depending on numbers sold I will calculate and donate direct to them each week or month for as long as they are being sold.

How do I cut the window rainbow and put it up?

Full instructions are included in your PDF bundle – feel free to get the kids involved or keep it all to yourself. A perfect lockdown project! With enough PDFs included for 3 full size and 1 small rainbow, there are versions for cutting with scalpels (for us grown ups) or for little hands to cut with scissors – just around the outside, no cutting of letters.

What tools do I need? What paper is best to use?

You can read about the tools to use here and here – and I’ve written about how to choose the right weight of paper here.

What size is the window rainbow? Can I resize it?

The finished size is 57 x 57cm when you print the PDF off at 100%. If you want it smaller than this then adjust the % when printing.

I’m sold – how do I order!
